Newtech is spreading the light by supporting the
Orbis Pin Day 2007, staff are encouraged to wear the
ORBIS Pin on October 11 (The World Sight Day) in
order to support their care about the needlessly
blind in developing world and increase the awareness
eye care issues.

Partner Award from Ministry of Defence for our
excellent support and contributions towards National
Defence in Singapore.

Newtech Recognizes as Caring Company
¡@
Following
the achievement of Business Superbrands awarded
by the Superbrands Council in 2006, Newtech Technology
recently was recognized as Caring Company by the
Hong Kong Council of Social Service, in recognition
of our commitment to corporate citizenship.
The Caring Company Scheme, launched in 2002, aims
to promote the betterment of social welfare service
development in Hong Kong, facilitates cross-sectoral
partnerships, advocates equality, justice, social
integration and a caring. Our award of the Caring
Company Logo is strictly based on company's involvements
in providing a family-friendly environment for employees,
employing vulnerable groups, and donations to the
community.
Moreover, we also enrolled in the "Heart to
Heart Company" program organized by the Federation's
Youth Volunteer Network. This program linking schools
with corporate bodies in which schools are asked
to pledge volunteer service hours and companies
sponsor the schools' volunteer service projects.

Newtech Received Business Superbrands
¡@
The
Superbrands Council awarded the Business Superbrands
status to Newtech and we are the First industry
player to be presented the status.
The Council, is independent authority on branding,
present in across 50 countries worldwide, was
established more than a decade ago in the United
Kingdom. "Business Superbrands" operates
successfully in a number of international markets
and is firstly being introduced to Hong Kong in
2006. It identifies and gives recognition to the
leading business brands operating in Hong Kong.
Only those brands that have passed a detailed
evaluation process will be qualified as a Business
Superbrands ¡V brands of stature, longevity, quality
and excellence.
By crowning Newtech as "Business Superbrands
(2006)", the Council has acknowledged the
customers are dealing with an outstanding business
partner. "We are extremely honoured to receive
the Business Superbrands award in Hong Kong and
absolutely serves as a morale booster to all of
us" said Charles Lee, the Managing Director
of Newtech.

Newtech Celebrates ISO 9001:2000
Certification

Technology (South Asia) Pte Ltd has been awarded
the ISO 9001:2000 Certification, an international
quality management standard recognizing the company's
commitment to the implementation of quality management
principles in its delivery of critical mission environments.
ISO 9001:2000 is a series of requisites designed
by International Organization of Standardization
(ISO) that defines the Quality Management System
(QMS) Standard. After passing a stringent QMS
audit, Newtech obtained the certification issued
by United Registrar Systems under the United Kingdom
Accreditation Service (UKAS), the sole renowned
national accreditation body recognized by the
UK government.
This certification is a fitting recognition of
Newtech's long standing pursuit for excellence,
ensuring customers of the highest level of service
quality backed by strong quality management standards.

Quality Certificate Awarded to Newtech

Newtech
was awarded the Quality Certificate by the Shanghai
Municipal Construction and Management Commission.
It is recognition of our meeting the stringent quality
standards of the construction enterprises. This
Class 2 Quality Certificate recognized Newtech as
a qualified contractor under the categories of Electrical
Appliances Engineering, Intelligent Building Engineering
and Electronics Engineering Contractor.

Social Responsibility

"Giving
back to the community" is our belief in the
way we do business. Since 2003, Newtech supported
"Job Enrichment Programme", organized
by the Small Group Home of Tung Wah Group of Hospitals.
The objectives of the programme are to provide exposure
of working environment and practices to high school
students during their summer vacation. In recognition
to our corporate social responsibility and continuous
support, a certificate is presented to the Company
by Tung Wah Group of Hospitals.
Newtech
participated in various international events in 2007. We were Gold
Sponsor of the two DatacenterDynamics events in Shanghai (May 24) and
Singapore (June 14). On May 24, Mark Chun and Mr Tom Wong, CEO of Hogan
Information Systems, presented "How to build highly secure Data Centre
in China" with a business and technical case study on Hogan's Colocation
Centre in Shanghai to the audience. In Singapore's DCD, Alex Li and
Garrett Ng jointly delivered a seminar on "How FM Influences Design", and
Benson Teo, General Manager of Singapore Office, was invited to be one of
the industry leaders panel to discuss on the topic, "The Future State of
Mission Critical Facilities and IT Infrastructure", to share his thoughts
and views.
In Hong
Kong, following the success in 2006, we again sponsored the Managing Corporate Datacentre Facilities
Conference organized by Facility Media on July 25 and invited Mr
Tom Wong of Hogan as guest speaker to deliver a presentation on
"Datacentre site selection in Asia".
In
Singapore, this was the fourth year we participated in the
regional exhibition, CommunicAsia. We displayed our critical facilities
and services to the visitors and created new business opportunities to
the company.

Facility Media Seminar

Attended
by data centre professional, facility managers and
experts from corporates, government bodies in Hong
Kong, Newtech sponsored "Managing Corporate
Datacentre Facilities" seminar organized by
Facility Media on September 13, 2006. Alex Li, Associate
Director ¡V Engineering Services was one of the panelists
contributed to the forum discussion on "Physical
Limitations of a Datacentre". It was an excellent
platform to share experience, network and learn
from one another.

CommunicAsia 2006
¡@
The
CommunicAsia 2006 held in Singapore in June 2006
showcased the most up-to-date Communications &
IT technologies and attracted trade professionals
under one roof. Newtech has not missed the wave
of this industry event in the region. As a major
market player, Newtech displayed the data centre
turnkey solution during the four-day exhibition
and attracted a great deal of interest from the
visitors.

Breakfast Talk at IFMA
¡@
Invited
by the International Facilities Management Association
Hong Kong Chapter, Mr Alvin Tsang, Project Manager
of Newtech Technology presented a breakfast talk
on May 26, 2005. Alvin outlined the differences
between a traditional computer room and an internet
data centre and highlighted the problems typically
experienced in the management of a data centre environment.
Based on his extensive experience, Alvin also provided
suggestions on how facility managers can resolve
these problems.
